Apple iPhone 5 to have 1GB of RAM for Voice Assistant

There have been a lot of rumours surrounding the iPhone 5 over the last few months and one of the rumours that has been particularly big is the rumour that there will be a new voice assistant feature with the phone.

Now, with the phone expected to be unveiled in around a week on October 4 2011, there are more in depth rumours suggesting that the iPhone 5 will have 1GB of RAM to allow this function to work efficiently.

The iPhone 4 currently has only 512mb of RAM which will mean that if the rumours are true, the iPhone 5 will have double. The rumours are suggesting that the new voice assistant feature will allow users of the phone to give commands to the phone in a natural spoken language.

This is something that has never before been attempted with as mobile device and it has many Apple fans extremely excited.

It is thought that the iPhone 5 will also have the A5 processor in order to allow this feature to run smoothly and there is rumour that the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS will not be given support for the feature.
