Apple’s iPhone 5 has been a hot topic of discussion and with the launch day approaching, the discussions get hotter! However, the approaching launch date is not out, yet. Meanwhile, two different sources have laid claims to provide two different launch dates (or months) for the device.
According to the first claim, the next generation iPhone will debut in late September. It cites an email allegedly sent by an AT&T employee, whining about being denied vacation requests during the last two weeks of September due to an event blackout.
This means that the company will require all hands on board during this period of hectic activity, which could possibly be the launch of the iPhone 5.
The second claim has been made by AllThingsD, which has sought to challenge the claim we mentioned earlier. According to its own source, “I don’t know why AT&T’s calling for all hands on deck those weeks, but it’s not for an iPhone launch”. The source also claims to have knowledge of the Cupertino-based company’s plans, but did not offer any further details beyond claiming that the launch will happen in October.
Rumours will keep coming as the eventual launch date approaches and we will keep you updated. As with any rumour, take these with a pinch or two of salt.
