New reports continue to emerge about Apple’s speculated manufacture of the Verizon-compatible iPhone in 2011.
The smartphone is exclusive to AT&T in the US currently and Apple is surely missing out on millions of additional iPhone sales without making it available on Verizon wireless which is America’s biggest wireless carrier. This is also giving Verizon’s Android based smartphones the boost to rival the iPhone on the market.
The New York Times announced about the Verizon iPhone development on Friday while the Wall Street Journal also announced similar reports a few days earlier. Both Apple and Verizon have declined to confirm or deny the speculation.
Verizon iPhone rumors have been ongoing for years and one of Verizon’s bosses stated recently that a Verizon iPhone 4 was not being planned. He however refused to rule out a Verizon iPhone 5.
